Sandusky County Courts
The Sandusky County court system operates multiple locations. The County Courts work like a municipal court but cover the townships rather than a city. They handle misdemeanor criminal cases, traffic citations, and small claims up to $3,000. Civil cases up to $15,000 also fall under their watch.

Both courts keep their own records, so make sure you contact the right one for your case.
The Probate Court handles estates, guardianships, and marriage records. Marriage licenses come from Probate, not the Health Department.

The Sandusky County Recorder's Office is the official land records office for all real estate in the county. Located at 100 N. Park Ave., Room 143, Fremont, Ohio 43420, the office has been recording deeds since May 16, 1822. The elected Recorder is Julie McCord. How to Get Sandusky County Records
